Why I Do What I Do ...

I'm often asked two very different questions when someone finds out what I do for a living:

1) What got you into men's skin care?

2) What is it about mens skin care products that keeps you motivated?

I've given these questions much thought over the years and it comes down to two very simple answers:

First let me address what got me involved in mens skincare as it is simple. Two things drove me to start this business: One is the fact that I had tried so many products supposedly for men that, well, sucked. Often what I tried was expensive and ineffective. I thought that men were entitled to products that work and do it quickly and simply. The other thing that motivated me to launch Matte For Men was my desire to be my own boss and see if I could take a raw idea and turn it into a reality. 

The second question is an easy one for me to answer but Ill let an email we received recently do the talking for me:

"I just want to say I received my products today and I love the shave gel. It has a smell of chocolate and when I used it , I got no more cuts or  razor burn. It is the  best shave ever... thanks so much! I will buy more products in the future from you guys."

This is coming from a guy that contacted us a few weeks ago saying that he cant shave anymore since everything he has tried, hasn't worked when it came to getting a close, smooth shave.
